Declarations of interest received from :-

 

Mr Richard Griffiths declared a prejudicial interest as regard to Item 4 – Major Grants Applications 2018/19 – Amlwch Industrial Heritage Society and left the meeting during discussion and voting thereon.

 

Mr R Meirion Jones declared a personal interest as regard to Item 4 – Major Grants Applications 2018/19 – Beaumaris Band and left the meeting during discussion and voting thereon.

 

Mr Richard O Jones declared a personal interest as regard to Item 4 – Major Grants Applications 2018/19 – Amlwch Industrial Heritage Society and left the meeting during discussion and voting thereon.

The minutes of the meeting held on 14 February, 2018 were confirmed.

To consider adopting the following :-

 “Under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, to exclude the press and public from the meeting during the discussion on the grounds that it may involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Schedule 12A of the said Act and in the attached Public Interest Test.”

Minutes:

It was RESOLVED to adopt the following :-

 

“Under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, to exclude the press and public from the meeting during discussion of the following item on the grounds that it may involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Schedule 12A of the said Act and in the attached Public Interest Test.”

Major Grants Applications 2018/19

To submit a report by the Treasurer.   

Minutes:

Submitted – a report by the Treasurer in relation to the above.

 

The Treasurer reported that 34 applications were received and initially considered by this Committee at its meeting held on 14 February, 2018.  The Committee resolved to shortlist 15 grant applications for more detailed assessment and to received further information as regard to the applications, as was deemed necessary.  It was noted that the Investments and Contracts Committee at its meeting held on 7 November, 2017 resolved to recommend to the full Charitable Trust that £350k is made available for funding towards larger grants in 2018.  The full Charitable Trust in its meeting held on 24 January, 2018 approved the recommendation.

 

Detailed discussion took place with regard to the 15 short-listed applications and it was RESOLVED to recommend to the full Charitable Trust at its meeting to be held on 17 April, 2018 :-

 

·      That 14 of the grant applications that were short-listed be supported with 12 receiving the requested amount and 2 receiving a lesser amount than requested;

·      That 1 of the 15 short-listed applications was not successful;

·      That a report be submitted to the full Charitable Trust with the recommended sums as agreed by the Regeneration Committee.
