Mrs. Dilys Shaw

Independent member of the Standards Committee

Having qualified from Liverpool University with an Honours degree in Bacteriology, Mrs Shaw went on to work in pharmaceutical research in and around London for a couple of well know companies.

After a career break and a return to Llangefni she took up employment as the Chief Officer of the Community Health Council for Anglesey until 2005. She was then appointed a Non Executive Director of the North Wales NHS Trust until its demise in 2009. From this time she has worked occasionally as an Associate Manager (Mental Health) for the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

She has worked extensively in the voluntary sector for many years ranging from Crossroads Caring for Carers, (founder Member), Muscular Dystrophy Group Anglesey (founder Member and past Chair), Theatr Fach and others.

She is presently Chair of Medrwn Môn and Llangefni Tai Chi. She has one son and four grandchildren.
