Agenda

1. Chairperson

To elect the Chairperson of the Isle of Anglesey County Council for 2012-2013.
(Members are referred to the Order of Business regarding the ceremony for election of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the County Council.)

2. Vice-Chairperson

To elect the Vice-Chairperson of the Isle of Anglesey County Council for 2012-2013.

3. To appoint a Leader of the County Council.

To elect the Leader of the Isle of Anglesey County Council (until the next Local Government Elections in May 2013). (Pursuant to Paragraph 4.1.1.2.6 and in particular Paragraph 2.7.3 of the Council Constitution).

4. To appoint a Deputy Leader of the County Council.

To elect the Deputy Leader of the Isle of Anglesey County Council (until the next Local Government Elections in May 2013). (Pursuant to Paragraph 4.1.1.2.6 and in particular Paragraph 2.7.3 of the Council Constitution).

5. Announcements

To receive any announcements from the Chairperson or the Head of Paid Service.

6. Declaration of Interest

To receive any declaration of interest in respect of any item of business from any Member or Officer.

7. Delegation by the Leader / Membership of the Executive

In accordance with Rule 4.4.1.2 of the Executive Procedure Rules, to be informed by the Leader of the names of Councillors he / she has chosen to be members of the Shadow Executive, together with their Portfolio Responsibilities and any further information required under Rule 4.4.1.2.

8. Confirmation of Committees

The Chairperson will confirm the re-appointment of the following current Committee structure as referred to in Section 3.4 of the Council's Constitution, together with the following :-

  • Scrutiny Committees
  • Pay & Grading Panel set up by the County Council
  • Standards Committee Appointments Panel
  • Standards Committee
  • Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education
  • Special Educational Needs Joint Committee
  • Joint Planning Policy Committee


9. Confirmation of Scheme of Delegation

The Chairperson will confirm such part of the Scheme of Delegation as the Constitution determines it is for the Council to agree (as set out in Paragraph 3.2 of the Constitution).

10. Programme of Ordinary meetings of the County Council

To approve the following programme of ordinary meetings of the Council for the ensuing year:-

27th September, 2012 - 2.00 pm
6th December, 2012 - 2.00 pm
5th March,2013 - 2.00 pm
9th May, 2013 - 10.30 am and 2:00pm (AGM)
