1.  DECLARATION OF INTEREST

2.  PLANNING APPLICATION NO 19C599X/ECON - FULL APPLICATION TO                            EXTEND THE EXISTING RETAIL STORE, CONSTRUCTION OF A MEZZANINE                       FLOOR SPACE, ERECTION OF A DECKED CAR PARK, FORMATION OF A                 STAFF CAR PARK TOGETHER WITH ALTERATIONS TO THE VEHICULAR AND                       PEDESTRIAN ACCESS AT TESCO STORES, PENRHOS INDUSTRIAL ESTATE,                     HOLYHEAD.

 

Members and Officers met on site and the Planning Team Leader provided members with a brief outline of the details of the application. Particular reference was made to the location of the decked car park and to the provision of a 2m acoustic fence which it was intended to raise along part of the boundary of residential property adjoining the site in order to address concerns raised.

 

Reference was also made to a pedestrian crossing on Cyttir Road to facilitate pedestrian access from the Kingsland area to the store.

 

Members were also offered the opportunity of visiting the proposed junction improvements on Cyttir Road, London Road in order to facilitate the free flow of additional traffic to the staff car park and for it’s use as an overspill car park during construction of the extension to the store and the decked car park on the main site.

 

 

      

3.  PLANNING APPLICATION NO 46C13E/1 - CONSULTATION BY THE DEPARTMENT OF        ENERGY AND CLIMATE CHANGE FOR THE ERECTION OF A BIO-MASS             

     ELECTRICITY GENERATING STATION AT PENRHOS WORKS, HOLYHEAD.

 

Members and Officers met on site and the Senior Planning Officer provided Members with a brief outline of the details of the application and the area intended for development.

 

He explained that the role of the County Council was that of a key statutory consultee, with an invitation to submit representations/suggested conditions on the application to the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change who would determine the application.

 

The proximity of the A5, impact on the ecological features within the site boundary were pointed out. Coloured copies of the visual impact of the development upon it’s environs were handed out by the Officer to Members.
