4. Exclusion of the press and public

To consider adoption of the following:

“Under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, to exclude the press and public from the meeting during discussion on the following item on the grounds that it involves information in respect of which a claim to legal professional privilege could be maintained in legal proceedings (and no public interest test applies).”

5. Application by a councillor

(a)To consider an application for indemnity by a Councillor in respect of legal costs to be incurred in defending a complaint of misconduct under investigation by the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales and the Adjudication Panel for Wales

(b)To submit a copy of the application, supporting documents and the confidential legal advice contained in a Report from the Director of Legal Services/Monitoring Officer.
