The Chair referred to the low attendance at the site visit on 21 February which was disappointing with four Members present and four having tendered their apologies for absence in advance meaning that five were absent without notice. He reminded Members that physical site visits are convened by decision of the Committee and are important, and he therefore believed Members have a duty to make every effort to attend.  Although he appreciated that that is not always possible, he highlighted that planning site visits are held to a known schedule two weeks after the Committee meeting, thereby allowing Members if they can, to rearrange their diary accordingly. In the event that Members are unable to attend a site visit, he respectfully asked them to give notice of their absence beforehand.
