“Under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, to exclude the press and public from the meeting during the discussion on the following item as it may involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 12A of the said Act and in the attached Public Interest Test.”

The Chief Executive reported that four applications had been received for the post and it was recommended that the four applications be forwarded as shortlisted candidates.  Therefore, the candidates will follow the recruitment process with regard to the appointments process.

 

The Senior Human Resources Officer asked the Committee to confirm that the established practice be followed for the next stage of the appointment process.  It was agreed by the Committee that an external independent psychometric test assessment be undertaken.  A verbal report will be afforded to the Appointments Committee at the final interview stage on the outcomes of the assessment.  In addition, a professional interview will also take place as per established practice with the interview conducted by the Chief Executive and the Head of Profession (Human Resources) and Transformation.  Feedback from the professional interview will be provided to the Appointments Committee at the final interview stage. 

 

It was RESOLVED that the 4 applicants be put forward to the next stage of the appointments process.
