Declarations of interest received from :-

 

Mr. Alwyn Rowlands declared a prejudicial interest with regard to Item 4 – Major Grants Applications 2017/18 – Application by Canolfan Hamdden Biwmares a’r Cylch and took no part in discussion or voting thereon.

 

The Chair of the Isle of Anglesey Charitable Trust declared a predjudicail interest with regard to Item 4 – Major Grants Applications 2017/18 – Application by Cwmni Tref Llangefni and took no part in discussion or voting thereon.

 

The Vice-Chair of the Isle of Anglesey Charitable Trust declared a prejudicial interest with regard to Item 4 – Major Grants Applications 2017/18 – Application by Holyhead Town Council and took no part in discussion or voting thereon.

The minutes of the meeting held on 10 February, 2017 were confirmed.

To consider adopting the following :-

 

“Under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, to exclude the press and public from the meeting during discussion on the grounds that it may involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Schedule 12A of the said Act and in the attached Public Interest Test.”

Minutes:

RESOLVED to adopt the following :-

 

“Under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, to exclude the press and public from the meeting during discussion of the following item on the grounds that it may involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Schedule 12A of the said Act and in the attached Public Interest Test.”

Major Grants Applications 2017/18

To consider the short-listed applications for major grants 2017/18.

Minutes:

Submitted – a report by the Treasurer in relation to the above.

 

The Treasurer reported a total of 31 applications were received and initially considered by this Committee at its meeting held on 10 February, 2017.  The Committee resolved to shortlist 12 grant applications for more detailed assessment.  In respect of the remaining 19 applications, 9 were considered to be suitable as applications for the Leisure & Community grants (maximum £8,000) and the applicants have been informed that their applications will be carried forward to that process.  The remaining 10 applications were not supported and the applicants have been informed of the Committee’s decision.

 

Detailed discussion took place with regard to the 12 short-listed applications and it was RESOLVED to recommend to the full Charitable Trust at its next meeting :-

 

·           That the 12 grant applications short-listed be supported;

·           That a report be submitted by the Treasurer to the full Charitable Trust with the recommended sums as agreed by the Regeneration Committee.
