12.1 19C5Q – Full application for the construction of a physical memorial on land to the west of the commemorative monument to the Royal Visit in 1958 at Beach Road, Holyhead

The application was presented to the Committee as the application is made on Council owned land.

The Planning Development Manager reported that public consultation period does not come to an end until the 5^th September, 2013 and requested that the Officer’s be afforded power to act following the public consultation period if no representations have been received by the department.

Councillor K.P. Hughes proposed that the application be approved and Councillor R.O. Jones seconded the proposal.

It was RESOLVED to approve the application and to grant the Officer’s power to act following the statutory public consultation period coming to an end.

12.2 19C760D – Retrospective application for the retention of retaining boundary wall together with the proposed construction of a glass balustrade at 7 Plas Road, Holyhead

The application was presented to the Committee at the request of one of the Local Members (Councillor T.Ll. Hughes).

Councillor T. Victor Hughes proposed that the application be approved and Councillor Lewis Davies seconded the proposal.

It was RESOLVED to approve the application in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation, subject to the conditions contained within the report.

         12.3 19LPA985/CC – Full application for the erection of a plaque at 19 Stanley Street, Holyhead

         The application was presented to the Committee as the application is made by the Local Authority.

         The Planning Development Manager reported that the Holyhead Town Council has now responded favourable to the application.

Councillor K.P. Hughes proposed that the application be approved and Councillor Vaughan Hughes seconded the proposal.

         It was RESOLVED to approve the application in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation, subject to the conditions contained within the report.

           12.4 30LPA986/CC – Change of use of land to form an extension to the existing cemetery at St. Peters Church, Llanbedrgoch

         The application was presented to the Committee as the application is made by the Local Authority.

         Councillor John Griffith proposed that the application be approved and Councillor Lewis Davies seconded the proposal.

It was RESOLVED to approve the application in accordance with the

         Officer’s recommendation, subject to the conditions contained within the report.

           12.5 34LPA850G/CC – Full application for the erection of a nursery unit and car parking area on land at Ysgol y Graig, Llangefni

         The application was presented to the Committee as the application has been made by the Local Authority on Council owned land.

         Councillor T. Victor Hughes proposed that the application be approved and Councillor John Griffith seconded the proposal.

         It was RESOLVED to approve the application in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation, subject to the conditions contained within the report.

           12.6 35LPA929A/CC – Change of use of former flat into restaurant/café at Haulfre, Llangoed

         The application was presented to the Committee as the site is owned by the County Council.

         Councillor Ann Griffith proposed that the application be approved and Councillor Nicola Roberts seconded the proposal.

         It was RESOLVED to approve the application in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation, subject to the conditions contained within the report.

         12.7 38C219C – Full application for the erection of one 10kW wind turbine with a maximum hub height of 15m, a rotor diameter of 9.7m and a maximum vertical upright height of 19.5m on land at Cae Mawr, Llanfechell

         (Councillor W.T. Hughes declared a personal interest in respect of this application.)

The application was presented to the Committee as it has been decided that

delegated powers will not be used in connection with wind turbine developments.

         The Planning Development Manager stated that Mr. David Heathcote a local resident had intended to speak in respect of this application but was unable to attend and had requested that a statement be read out to the Committee.  The Officer read out the statement of objection to the application to the Committee.

         Councillor K.P. Hughes as one of the Local Members expressed that the wind turbine will be used solely for farm use and is of a small diameter.  He considered that the application should be supported.

         Councillor T. Victor Hughes stated that he favoured that the site be visited to allow the Members to view the site in question as previous proposals of this nature have been the subject of a site visit. 

         Councillor T. Victor Hughes thereafter proposed that the site be visited and Councillor Nicola Roberts seconded the proposal.

It was RESOLVED that a site visit be undertaken for the reasons given.

         12.8 34LPA984/CC – Full application for the erection of 7 industrial units together with associated car parking at Penyrorsedd Industrial Estate, Llangefni

The application was presented to the Committee as the County Council is the land owner.

         Councillor Ann Griffith proposed that the application be approved and Councillor John Griffith seconded the proposal.

         It was RESOLVED to approve the application in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation, subject to the conditions contained within the report.
