
Title: Independent Member of the Standards Committee
David was Denbighshire County Council’s Community Engagement Manager until his retirement and Lead Officer with responsibility for liaising with the 37 City, Town and Community Councils; the Third Sector and the Armed Forces Community. His role also encompassed developing many corporate strategies including the Council’s Equalities Policy; Welsh Language Scheme; Armed Forces Covenant and the Council’s Charter with City, Town and Community Councils.
David is a Presiding Magistrate, appraises fellow Magistrates and sits on the Lord Chancellor’s Advisory Panel on the appointment of Magistrates in Wales.
In addition to being a Board Member of the North Wales Wildlife Trust and Denbigh Museum he is also a school governor of Ysgol Tremeirchion and a part-time Ranger with Danger Point (Pentre Peryglon) a charitable education centre in Flintshire.
David is an Independent Member of Flintshire County Council’s Standards Committee and lives in Tremeirchion, Denbighshire. He is a mediocre badminton player and a keen walker having completed many long distance footpaths including the Anglesey Coastal Path.
