William Raymond Evans

Town / community council representative on the Standards Committee

A semi-retired company director of a privately owned civil engineering and construction firm, Mr Evans retains his interest in project planning and management.

He took a 20 year gap to manage and advise the Local Government/DWP joint venture programme in providing and developing job opportunities for persons with disabilities.

He has been an industry representative for many years, both locally and nationally; is currently involved with business development; and holds offices in a number of recognised industrial relations institutions. He also has a keen interest in personal development and training and is a member of the Institute of Welsh Affairs.

Mr Evans has served as a community councillor since 1974 and Chairman on several occasions, together with time spent as Chairman and member of the School Governors at Ysgol Esceifiog. He is also a representative of One Voice Wales – the voice of the community and town councils in Wales
